Vegetable Garden Workshops Launch With Potluck Party In Dobbs Ferry

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- A series of free organic vegetable gardening workshops in Dobbs Ferry kicks off with a potluck party at Roots & Wings Café on Wednesday, Jan. 21. 

The series of free workshops, led by Master Gardener Suzi Novak, is open to anybody interested in gardening.

The potluck is an opportunity to learn about The Kitchen Garden Through the Year, converse with fellow gardeners, and share challenges, wisdom, fellowship, and good food. 

Potluck will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Roots & Wings Café at South Presbyterian Church, 343 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry

This series of free workshops, led by Master Gardener Suzi Novak, is open to anybody interested in gardening. All ages and experience levels are welcome — from first-timers to seasoned gardeners. 

Walk you through all the stages of the growing cycle, from understanding the interplay between soils and plants, to planning your garden, growing healthy plants, and enjoying a bountiful harvest. Participants may join the full series, or individual classes based on topics of interest. 

Classes are free are held from 7:30-9 p.m. one Thursday per month at Roots & Wings Café and the Kitchen Garden at South Presbyterian (Broadway & Elm Street in Dobbs Ferry). 

Advance registration requested for planning purposes, but drop-ins are welcome.
